I am always looking for the most effective teaching methods. During my pedagogy studies, I found one of the most important principles that help me in my work – to understand if your method of explanation and teaching is effective and understandable, try it on yourself.
When working with groups and individual students, I always try to add a bit of humour and fun to my lessons because a friendly atmosphere is one of the essential elements of getting rid of various barriers, including language barriers.
What helps me to teach effectively:
I always try to choose the topics of classes so that they intersect, at least in some way, with the interests and realities of my students’ lives. I try to emphasise similarities with their native language and explain the semantics of words.
