Maksym

Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, English, Belarusian (very basic)

My name is Maksym. I am a linguist and a teacher of Polish as a foreign language, with experience working with children, teenagers and adults. I have been teaching Polish for around four years. I prepare students for the state certification exam and the telc exam. I also teach specialist language — I am particularly interested in topics related to psychiatry and science in the broadest sense.

My work often involves interesting and surprising situations. The relationship with the student is the most important thing for me — conversation plays a key role in the learning process. I support my students, monitor their progress and celebrate every success they achieve.

Language learning is my passion. I teach because I enjoy passing on knowledge and supporting others in their development. I find particular satisfaction in observing my students’ progress and sharing in their achievements.

As for the system of teaching Polish as a foreign language, I believe it should be more accessible. It is essential that Polish schools offer Polish as a foreign language classes for those starting their education within the Polish education system. The Polish language can be challenging not only for people from non-Slavic countries, but also for Slavs. I believe it can be presented in a way that is more accessible and learner-friendly.
