Polish, English, German (basics)
polish language school teacher Kamila

Hi, I’m Kamila, and for nearly 10 years I’ve been changing the world through words. How you may want to ask? I had worked with text edition to ensure text are accurately and clearly conveyed the author’s thoughts. For 4 years, I taught Polish students at the University of Wroclaw how to speak and write Polish correctly. And for over 2 years, I have been teaching Polish as a foreign language to adults.

At Spoko Polish I conduct classes, both group and individual.

When teaching, my priority is to ensure that my students feel they are taken care of and are heard with their struggles. Each of us has different challenges and different needs. My purpose as a teacher is to find out what troubles one student and then tailor a method to solve those troubles.

I graduated three levels of Polish philology and postgraduated studies in teaching Polish as a foreign language at the University of Wroclaw. For many years I have been passionate about the Polish language. I love reading books, both for pleasure and to learn. I love to solve linguistic puzzles. For me it feels really natural to teach foreigners my language, it is like another tile in a mosaic of my skills. I am experienced in language games, conversations and thanks to my studies and job with text editing, I am really good in nazi grammar stuff 😉

What helps me to teach effectively:
Personally I find very attractive a holistic approach to teaching Polish – discussion groups on-line as well in café, presenting real short movies or radio broadcasts, cooking or just playing around together. In such a way you learn while you just live and spend time with others. I find there is no better way to learn a language than to immerse in culture and society.

It makes me happy to hear stories from my students, when they feel comfortable enough to share with me their stories and life. They stop being Mr. Smith, anyone, but a restaurant chef, mother of a little girl or a soccer fan.
