ILONA has always been very intrigued by other cultures and it surely started when she was growing up in a village at the chech-polish border. She started to study French at 11’s. Then, she spent half of her life in France. She finally left her hectic Parisian life to travel and volunteer around Latin America, fell in love with Mexico and the small town of Bacalar became her new home. She used to have many friends from different cultures and countries, and she loves to use all the languages she knows to communicate with people and connect them one to another. For her family and friends, she is THE traveller. But she says that the best journey is the one into oneself.
